Neighborhood Leadership Appreciation Mixer

The Chamber is proud to host the city's grassroots community in the Annual Neighborhood Leadership Appreciation Mixer. This event allows the city of Birmingham's 99 neighborhood presidents to hear the region's top business priorities and share ideas on development and growth impacting their communities.

Every year, the Chamber hosts the city's grassroots leadership in a unique mixer that brings together the heads of the city of Birmingham's 99 neighborhood associations and top business leaders from the region. The mixer engages the Chamber's top leadership and neighborhood presidents on issues of economic development, public policy and neighborhood revitalization that affect the region's center.
The Chamber's focus on public policy includes a state and federal push for increased funding in mass transit, tax incentives for the development and restoration of historic structures and the expansion of the city's current convention center - issues that greatly impact the city of Birmingham. Meeting with neighborhood leaders allows the Chamber for better representation and input on important legislation affecting the region's core neighborhoods.
