The Birmingham Regional Chamber of Commerce formed the Birmingham Virtual Newsroom in December 2006 with the sole purpose of pitching stories about the Birmingham region to regional, national and international media. The BVN is comprised of organizations and companies that have a stake in the success of the Birmingham region. The by-invitation-only group meets once a month to discuss stories to pitch to the media.
